Kaunos is one of the most mysterious and mystical cities in the Mediterranean. Marmaris is located between Köyceğiz and Sarıgerme.
The walls of LakeKöyceğiz are poured into the Mediterranean with a natural canal. This canal, which is on average fifteen meters wide, separates Kaunos and Dalyan. Large rock tombs belonging to the Kaunos people are seen on a steep hillside right opposite dalyan town. These rock tombs have become the symbol of Kaunos and Dalyan. The ruins of Kaunos are one kilometer from Dalyan.
